HDMI Connection Standards
HDMI Type A:
The technology version is 1.0, there are ninteen pins, and the supported bandwidths are HDTV, SDTV and EDTV.
HDMI Type B:
The technology version is 1.0 like its predecessor, but this cable have 29 pins and is capable of double data
transfer. The technology is capable of delivering high quality resolution pictures up to 3840x2400 pixels.
HDMI Type C:
The type C is a miniconnector and was designed for portable devices. Technology version is 1.3. The size is
smaller than the HDMI type A but is having the same 19 pins configuration. However, the signal assignment of
the pins is different. Still, the type C HDMI connector can be connected with a type A connector through a
type A to type C HDMI cable.
HDMI Type D:
The technology version is 1.4. Is a miniconnector and keeps the standard of type A and type C 19 pins
connector. The size of the connector is similar with a micro-USB connector.
